The Board of Christian Outreach provides a variety of opportunities to serve in our community and beyond. The weekly bulletins and the Intercom share upcoming outreach events.
St. Paul's Community Center
- help make sandwiches (Fri.) lunch on the 4th Sat. of the month
- pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving Dinner
- bake cookies for Christmas Dinner
Habitat for Humanity
- volunteer to help with a build (construction, welcomer, food service)
Toledo Area Ministries
- help distribute personal need items/fill orders or talk with clients (Sylvania UCC - Wednesdays 10 a.m. - noon or Nu-Vizion UCC - Tuesdays 3-5 p.m.)
- answer phones at Toledo Area Ministries’ office - intakes
- help with office work
Random Acts of Kindness
- Monthly (September through May) - Children, youth and sometimes their parents participate in a variety of outreach activities for the church and community. These activities emphasize reaching out to others. Some activities include: picking up litter at a local park; raking leaves for senior citizens; Valentine cards for loved ones; Humane Society collection and tour and a variety of others.

- Christmas Kettle Program - ring bell
Mission Trip
- Participate in our mission trip for a week in the summer, locations vary
Misc. Service Projects
- In spring and/or fall, we paint, yard clean up, etc. for local agencies
- CROP Walk for Church World Service/fight hunger - each fall

As a part of our outreach to the community, we collect items to help with their outreach/ministry. In the gathering area, (to the right of the doors to Wright Hall) is the collection site for the following items.
- Pop Tabs - Ronald McDonald House
- Used Eyeglasses - Sight Center
- Used Inkjet Cartridges - Monroe County Special Olympics
- Small Toiletries - area shelters
- Non-perishable food items, paper goods - Feed Your Neighbor
- Personal Need Items - Toledo Area Ministries
- Household Linens, Misc. Kitchen Items - Toledo Area Ministries
- Woman's work clothing - Suitably Attired (satellite collection center)
- Hearing Aids – Toledo Hearing and Speech
