Advance Ministry
A ministry of members caring for members... The components to this program are: 1) Caring Callers, 2) letter/note writing, 3) prayer chain, 4) telephone support, and 5) transportation. All are encouraged to serve our church through Advance Ministry.

Fellowship Hour
The Fellowship Committee asks for volunteers to help set up, serve and clean up coffee hour between worship services.

Food for Others
Bakers are needed to donate pies and cookies for St. Paul's Community Center during the holidays and brownies on the fourth Saturday of each month. We also send cookies to our college students twice a year. Donations of food are also needed for funerals held at the church.

Friendship Bread Deliverers
The Church Growth and Membership Committee also organizes those who are willing to visit first time visitors after church and deliver a loaf of bread and information about our church. Bakers of the bread are also needed.

Greeters
Greet arrivals at the door before worship services. This opportunity is organized by the Diaconate.

Holiday Bazaar
Workshops on Tuesdays (January through October) from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Come and join in the fun! The bazaar is held in October or November. All kinds of help are needed for this all-church event.

Landscaping
Participation in work sessions is needed to help beautify and maintain the church grounds. Members also adopt sections of the property which they care for throughout the year.

Toledo Area Ministries
Volunteers are needed for our Personal Needs Ministry on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and noon at Sylvania UCC or 3-5 p.m. at Nu-Vizion UCC on Tuesdays. Volunteers fill orders or greet and talk with the clients.

Office Help
Each week volunteers are needed to do basic, but essential tasks in our church office. Contact the office if you are interested.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
This group creates loving prayer shawls for people needing arms of concern or joy around them. The shawls can be crocheted or knitted. This small group meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 10 am and 7pm. All are welcome!

Rummage Sale
Held twice a year to benefit missions. Clothing, household items and volunteers are needed.

Service Projects
The Board of Christian Outreach plans service projects throughout the year: Habitat for Humanity workdays, ring for the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle, serving in soup kitchens, etc.

Toledo United Church Strategies (TUCS)
We join 18 other Toledo area churches provide special funding for area service and community organizations: Grace Community Center, Toledo Metropolitan Mission, Ecumenical Communications Com., Interfaith Peace & Justice, Toledo Campus Ministry, David's House of Compassion, Toledoans U.S.A., Employment Resource Center, Association for Children for Enforcement of Support. We encourage members to serve these organizations as board members or in many other ways.

Welcomers
The Church Growth and Membership Committee is always looking for folks willing to serve as informal hosts for Sunday morning who seek out and welcome visitors.

Ushers
Ushers for Sunday morning worship are organized into teams by the Diaconate. Usher teams are utilized on a rotating basis. New volunteers are always welcomed.
