Joycelyn Degener
Joycelyn Degener received her Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Seminary in Evanston, IL, and was ordained in 1997. She has served several churches in the Toledo area and is trained as a chaplain and spiritual director.
Since joining the Sylvania United Church of Christ staff in 2008 she has served with the children's ministry program, led the women's retreat, served as a part-time associate pastor and is active in spiritual formation groups, teaching and preaching.
She enjoys sports, travel, reading and enjoying the wildlife that visit the wooded area home that she shares with her husband and three spoiled cats.
