David Andersen
David Andersen joined the staff of Sylvania United Church of Christ in January 2011. For 18 and a half years David served as Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo. Following his retirement after 35 years in the ministry he accepted the part time position of Pastoral Associate at First Presbyterian Church of Maumee where he served for five years.
David received his Doctorate of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary. He is married and has two grown children. His wife, Sharon, works for the Sisters of St. Francis in Sylvania. David serves as oversight pastor of the staff and the congregation, providing pastoral care, serving in the preaching rotation, teaching and visiting.
