Bill Chidester

Bill has been pastor of Sylvania UCC since 1986. He is married to Sharon and has two grown children - Brice (and Kara) and Sara. Bill and Sharon met at Miami University. His seminary training was at Yale Divinity School and he received his D. Min. from Eden Theological Seminary.
Three years after his arrival in Sylvania, Bill received a liver transplant. The congregation was and continues to be a tremendous source of support and encouragement. Out of gratitude for this gift of life, he is active in the promotion of organ, tissue and eye donation.
Bill grew up in the St. Louis area and is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He also enjoys playing tennis.
